If we grow in your area and you pay for your fresh groceries upfront, we will deliver a box of them every week of the growing season to your house for free. Throughout the season (about 20 weeks) you can expect to get an assortment of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, arugula, kale, cabbage, chives, scallions, celery, peas, beans, carrots, cauliflower, watermelon, and various cut flowers as they are harvested. Sign up below to learn more. The deadline to sign up for this offer is June 1. This newsletter will include information on what's being harvested each week as well as the farmer's markets where we sell.
Sign up to the left if you have a plot of land (a backyard, side yard, empty lot, etc.) that we can use as part of our land network. The benefits of being a Nextdoorganics landowner include using your land in an ecologically sound way, becoming a part of your local food network, and getting your food for free throughout the season! Adding your plot to our land network is the most valuable way to be a part of your local food system. We are also working with schools to develop farm/school programs.
Sign up the the left if you are interested in working with Nextdoorganics as a Farm Organizer, Farm Intern, or Volunteer. You will get more information about where we are operating, how we can use your help, and more.
Nextdoorganics is a network of farmers, landowners, and buyers creating sustainable food systems in our local urban, suburban, and rural communities.
Our goal is to find under-used plots of land, network them together, farm them organically and sustainably, and sell their produce as locally as possible.
It's that simple.
Our network is built from the communities we work in. Our farmers, landowners, and buyers believe that by focusing locally we can create a more secure and sustainable food network.
Our produce is fresher, cheaper, and grown closer than anything at the store or farmer's market.
When you support us, you support your community.
